PPE & Weather

As your lessons will be held in an active truck yard, we strongly recommend students report with:

  • Safety Shoes (CSA Approved) that you are comfortable driving in.

  • Weather-appropriate clothing.

  • Work Gloves.

  • High Visibility vest.

PPE requirements will vary from job to job in the transportation industry-be prepared!

Note: CCA Truck Driver Training cannot provide any ‘loaner’ PPE due to current health restrictions.

Cancellation and Late Arrival

If you are unable to report for a lesson, please inform our staff by phone at (403) 253-3004 as soon as possible.

  • In-Vehicle: if you are late for any in-vehicle lesson, the lesson may be cancelled at the discretion of management.

  • Air Brakes: Unfortunately, due to Government requirements, if you are not present at the scheduled start time for the Air Brakes course, you will not be able to participate.

  • Early Cancellation: in-vehicle and classroom lessons cancelled with less than 24-hours notice will be charged in accordance with current no-show policies. Ask management for details.

  • Cancellation of full course packages after enrolment and scheduling is subject to a $250.00 administration fee.

Professionalism Policy

CCA Truck Driver Training prides itself on having polite, professional and respectful instructors. This is because we believe that a student’s success in their chosen career is a direct result of their own professional conduct and respectful attitude towards people, property and equipment. Accordingly, any abuse, harassment, disrespectful behaviour or wilful damage of company property will be addressed by management. This may be up to a total cancellation and refund of uncompleted hours, and a permanent ban from the premises.

Cell Phones and Devices

Please ensure your device is set to ‘silent’ or ‘off’ during your lessons and for your road test. Distracted driving is against the law, and cell phone use during a lesson is prohibited, unless on an official break, or for safety reasons. (You may use your device as a timer during the road test, but ensure it is set to Airplane Mode with all notifications muted)
